University-Wide Faculty Committees

University-wide faculty committees concerning faculty members’ rights and responsibilities include:

Faculty Responsibilities Committee

The Faculty Responsibilities Committee (FRC) handles all allegations of faculty misconduct, including failures to fulfill a faculty responsibility (see the Faculty Responsibilities Code) which are outside Office for Equal Opportunity Compliance (OEOC) or Research Integrity Committee (RIC) jurisdiction. Separately, the FRC recommends sanctions to the Executive Vice President for findings by OEOC and RIC, but cannot overrule the findings of another office/committee.

Grievance Code Committee

The Grievance Code Committee reviews concerns that an administrator has violated a University procedure or other faculty right. See the Faculty Grievance Code.

Note: For matters concerning allegations of unlawful discrimination and harassment, please contact the Office for Equal Opportunity Compliance via email at oeoc@georgetown.edu or by phone at (202) 687-4798.  For matters concerning reports of research misconduct, handled by the Research Integrity Committee, please contact the Office of Research Oversight at (202) 687-3911.
